This is the place to find the Australian AO study of distillation water systems. I can tell you that the definition of a Vietnam veteran here in Australia, as defined by the Veterans' Entitlement Act 1986, includes those who were allotted for duty in the Vietnam operational zone between 31 July 1962 and including 11 January 1973. The operational zone is defined as 185.2km from the shore of Vietnam and includes the area of the Gulf of Tonkin. This Department has done some studies on the potential dioxin contamination of potable water onboard ships serving in Vietnam. That report is on our website: http://www.dva.gov.au/adf/health_studies/dva_nrcet_final_report.pdf We are also currently completing a series of health studies on Vietnam veterans which will be available on our website later this year. That address is: http://www.dva.gov.au/adf/health_studies/mainhs.htm Finally one other report may help your case. This is the Veterans and Agent Orange study done by the US Institute of Medicine. This is also on the web at: http://www.nap.edu/books/0309086167/html/
