I have type 2 diabetes, heart problems, chronic lung disfunction, severe osteoporosis, and NEVER set foot on the shores of Vietnam. However, I swam in the Gulf of Tonkin on numerous occasions, as did others on my ship. I was on the USS Chicago CG-11 and patroled the Gulf of Tonkin in 1969. I feel that our good UNCLE SAM has once again give us the shaft by denying us claims for agent orange exposure!
