 11. Paddy Control, Det 3, 619th TCS.
I was in the Air Force. We had a radar site, Paddy Control just inside what, when I was
there, was the Vietnamese gate. The first one you hit coming from Can Tho. We were on the
left side of the entrance just a couple hundred feet off the end of the runway. Straight
down the road was the control tower. The Radar Site moved to Binh Thuy right after I left
in Jan 68.
As you look at the picture the main road to town would be just off the bottom
of the picture and the end of the runway would be just off the upper left hand corner..

I believe the runway was 6,000 ft. No Lights, No Tower made for
interesting take offs and landings. Very small living area.
